Three cyclists were injured, one of them seriously, Saturday morning when the peloton they were travelling in had a pileup on Thomas Dolan Road, east of Carp Road.
Paramedics arriving at the scene initially feared they would need the services of the Ornge medevac service, but the call was cancelled after assessing the injured.
Ottawa Fire Services said one or more riders lost control after hitting an unspecified obstruction on the road.
