A year has passed since Michael Morlang was killed in a hit and run, and Ottawa Police Services are still asking for the public’s help finding the driver responsible.
Police believe the vehicle involved was a GM product with dark red or burgundy paint used between the years of 1997-1998 and 2003-2010.
Police say it’s possible the vehicle has been repaired by a local garage or body shop since the hit and run on Frank Kenny Road.
Morlang’s parents, Brian Visneskie and Kathryn Morlang, are hosting an awareness event Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the site of the collision.
Police ask anyone with information to contact Det. Nigel Emaman at 613-236-1222, ext. 2481 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS) or toll free at 1-800-222-8477.
