Environment Canada says a final round of heavy rain is expected to gradually end through the day Wednesday, capping a 24-hour heavy rain warning period.
The agency says almost 30 mm of rain fell in Ottawa on Tuesday and the 24-hour total across the capital region is expected to be in the 50- to 70-mm range, depending on the locale.
Rain is expected through the afternoonWednesday , with a risk of a thunderstorm. The high is expected to be about 22 C, tonight’s low is forecast at 11 C, with a 70-per-cent chance of rain, changing to a 30-per-cent chance of showers after midnight.
Thursday is expected to be mainly cloudy with a 40-per-cent chance of showers and a high of around 13 C and a low of about 10 C.
Friday is expected to remain cloudy, with a 60-per-cent chance of showers. The high is expoected to be 16.
