A 68-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman, both of Gatineau have been arrested by the Sûreté du Québec in connection with an investigation into trafficking in contraband cigarettes.
Police say the suspects were part of a ring operating in the Gatineau region.
Investigators also seized some 80,000 cigarettes and a 2009 Honda.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
