A 28-year-old man died Monday morning after he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a guardrail in Gatineau.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital, Sûreté du Québec said. No other vehicles were involved.
The man was travelling westbound on Highway 50 and lost control when he took the Lorrain Boulevard, hitting the guardrail.
“Our preliminary finding is that speed could be one factor,” said Sgt. Marc Tessier.
The Lorrain Boulevard is still closed while police investigate.
