The car owned by Steve Pettibone, sports editor of the Brockville Recorder and Times newspaper who was reported missing on Monday, was found Tuesday evening west of Brockville, Ontario Provincial Police say.
Police did not officially identify the owner of the vehicle, but the car has been linked to Pettibone by the newspaper and on social media.
Police are searching the area with help from the canine and helicopter units.
An emergency response team and a team of all-terrain vehicles are also helping with the search.
