A 42-year-old man has died from his injuries after being hit by a car last week, and another man has been charged.
Eric Brigden, also 42, has been charged with failure to stop and taking a vehicle without consent after a crash on the evening of Aug. 12. The incident took place at the corner of Catherine and Kent streets.
Police are still investigating the crash and said Wednesday the victim, a pedestrian, died three days later on Aug. 15.
At the time of the accident, police reported the pedestrian suffered severe head, neck and leg injuries. He was unconscious and in critical condition on arrival at hospital.
The driver of the vehicle fled on foot but a man was arrested in the area of the incident.
