Ottawa – The annual Capital Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, August 24 at 1 p.m. Sections of Bank Street and Laurier Avenue will be closed in both directions on Sunday to accommodate Capital Pride festivities. Businesses remain open as usual.

Impact to Motorists
Motorists planning to travel through the downtown core will need to use alternate routes and avoid Bank Street and Laurier Avenue.
Impact to OC Transpo
OC Transpo bus routes 1, 2, 5, 7, 14 and 450 are affected. Residents should visit octranspo.com for specific details on bus detours.
Residents travelling to the REDBLACKS game on Sunday can take advantage of free “Park and Shuttle” options and secure bike storage and are encouraged to take transit, carpool, cycle or walk to TD Place. Residents using OC Transpo to travel to and from Lansdowne should be aware that bus stops between Gladstone and Catherine will not be in service due to the road closure until 3 p.m. Find out more at ottawa.ca and OttawaREDBLACKS.com.

- Closed from Catherine Street to Gladstone Avenue from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Closed from Catherine Street to Laurier Avenue from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
2. Laurier Avenue
- Closed from Bank Street to Nicholas Street from noon to 3 p.m.
- Closed from Elgin Street to Nicholas Street from 3 p.m. to midnight
