Ottawa is expected to be rainbow-coloured this weekend as the Capital Pride parade, which celebrates the city’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, descends on the downtown core on Sunday.
The parade, which is expected to attract 75,000 people, will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The route will start at the intersection of Bank Street and Gladstone Avenue, head north on Bank Street, east on Laurier Avenue and end at the Festival Plaza at City Hall. Motorists are advised to plan ahead.

- Bank Street will be closed between Catherine and Laurier from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Laurier Avenue will be closed between Bank Street and Elgin Street from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Laurier Avenue will also be closed between Elgin Street and Nicholas Street from noon until midnight.
