A man is in hospital after an early morning stabbing on Elgin Street Sunday, Ottawa Paramedic Service said.
The 21-year-old man was treated for a serious stab wound to the upper part of his body at about 2:35 a.m. near 160 Elgin St. and Frank Street.
Though life support procedures were used, paramedics said the man lost vital signs en route to hospital. However, he underwent surgery early Saturday morning at the Civic campus.
His condition is not currently known.
Ottawa Police are investigating.
