Two people have been arrested after a woman was held captive and sexually assaulted near Gatineau in June, according to Sûreté du Québec.
The arrests took place last week in connection with an alleged sexual assault and kidnapping, which happened in Namur, near Gatineau.
The suspects met the victim at a bar in Gatineau and then drove to Namur. The victim was held against her will, assaulted and threatened by the suspects before being released.
Andrew White, 35, and Miriam Hubert, 30, both of Namur are facing charges of sexual assault, kidnapping, death threats, armed assault and theft. The two remain in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests could occur in this case.
