A 61-year-old man wanted on weapons charges turned himself in to Ontario Provincial Police in Napanee Sunday evening, after a search that included an OPP helicopter.
Charlie Way is in custody and facing four weapons charges.
The OPP said it was looking for Way after he fled the scene of a search warrant on Saturday. OPP emergency response and tactical teams were executing the search warrant at a residence in Tamworth, Ont., near Napanee.
Way is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a loaded restricted weapon and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.
Way is expected to appear in Napanee court by video on Monday.
