A kitchen fire in an Orléans home Friday evening led to an estimated $40,000 in damages.
Ottawa Fire Services says the blaze, on Longman Crescent, was contained to the kitchen and quickly put out after the call came in at around 6:45 p.m.
No one was home at the time.
The cause is under investigation.
