McCain Foods is recalling some onion rings because of concerns they could contain glass, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

The nationwide recall concerns McCain’s 397-gram bag of onion rings with a best-before date of Oct. 28, 2015 and a lot code beginning with V40728.

The CFIA said the product is being recalled from the marketplace due to “possible glass contamination.” The agency said McCain Foods voluntarily triggered the recall and there have been no reported injuries associated with consumption of the product.

The agency said consumers should check to see if they have recalled products at home. If so, they should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were bought.

The CFIA is verifying that stores are removing the recalled product from their shelves.
