The Lees Avenue overpass will open to pedestrians and cyclists on Monday, following a replacement of the bridge last weekend.
The overpass will be open to vehicles later in the week but specific timing is yet to be announced. Even after that, the city advises motorists that ongoing construction between the bridge and Main Street will impact traffic until late October.
Drivers are asked to reduce their speed through the construction zone.
The bridge was replaced Sept. 6. The city says the 2,100 tonne structure is the heaviest be placed over a North American highway using rapid replacement techniques.
