A 26-year-old woman is in hospital and police are investigating after a two-vehicle crash in Orleans Friday evening.
It took emergency crews about 40 minutes to extricate the woman from the driver’s seat of a Toyota Corolla, which collided with an SUV at the intersection of Jeanne D’Arc Boulevard and Sapinier Street.
She was taken to the trauma centre at the Ottawa Hospital’s Civic Campus and was in serious but stable condition, paramedics said. They said she had possible leg, arm and pelvic fractures and a possible neck and back injury.
Paramedics were called to the scene just after 8:30 p.m.
The passenger in the Corolla and the driver of the SUV were not injured.
