I spent 2 days and finished reading a material of a training course from a friend and found it is quite good.
Now I would like to make a copy of it so that I have the resource to check back on if I need them in the future. The book is binded using a coil.
Anywhere have service to remove the binding, make the copy, and then give me back 2 books? It contains 480 pages. Or scan it could also be good. I also wonder how much it may cost.

thanks,

You cannot copy the whole book at one shot if it is copyright protected.

However, you could copy a chapter or two or three at a time.

:p

Well, it's not legal to photocopy the whole book. You can only copy 10% for each chapter.

As long as you don't copy a book at one shot, you could be Okay.

楼主,去Staples可以搞定,听村长的,分几次考

You must be a female. Thing is simple to me:
Remove the coil binding yourself.
Find a better copy machine, put the whole thing on it, then just one button to press. You'll get all.
Find a place to rebind the original. For your copy, there are many ways to bind them yourself.
That is.
You must be aware of the copyright, if it has.

请老胡带到公司去,一丁点,一丁点烤,不要花钱的

I am not worried about copyright. I am mostly worried about how to put back the original.
Great idea! Will check to see whether it's possible to DIY.
Many thanks for everyone's reply!!

为什么不去买一本?如果没有的话,copy是有风险的。

No where to buy it. It was a course material.
You should still check out the copyright issue.
Being a course material does not automatically exclude it from copyright restrictions.

Think about it, other people including your friend, paid (or was paid by someone) to take that course.
Unless the material is explicitly disclaimed of the copyright, or the whole work was authored from long ago (typically 95+ years ago), or was published by the government... The work someone put into making the course material should be respected.
