Ottawa – The section of Queen Street between Elgin Street and Metcalfe Street has reopened to regular traffic.
This re-opening marks the completion of the Queen Street Water Main Rehabilitation Project, which has replaced a watermain dating from 1874 and will help to ensure the continued reliability and quality of the downtown water supply.
The Queen Street Water Main Rehabilitation was an Ottawa on the Move project. Ottawa on the Move is about keeping our community and economy moving forward through strategic investments in a number of transportation, water, and sewer projects to build a better city and create jobs.
Further project details and other information concerning ongoing City roadwork are available on ottawa.ca.
