Paramedics received a call Thursday morning from a passerby who reported seeing a body in the Ottawa River near Rideau Falls.
A spokesperson for the paramedics said they received the call just after 9 a.m.
The paramedics’ marine unit is among the responders on the scene at Sussex Drive and Stanley Avenue. Reports indicate the search also ioncludes the Quebec side of the river.
