Two women were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries on Monday night when their car collided with a horse on Hwy. 105 near Alcove, Que.
MRC des Collines Police said three women, all from La Pêche, were travelling south on the highway just before 8 p.m. when the driver was unable to avoid one of two horses on the highway.
The woman in the rear seat of the vehicle was uninjured but the two women in the front seats of the car were taken to hospital for treatment, police said.
Police said the horse survived the impact. The horses had wandered from an enclosure that was not properly closed, police said.
The vehicle is a total loss.
