Citizenship application

As I know, there are three steps for citizenship application, such as fill the application form, citizenship test and Citizenship Ceremony. Is that right? if so, would anyone advice how long does it need to be waited for each step in Ottawa?

1. after filed an application, you wait for 1 month to get the confirmation letter of receiving your file from CIC ( citizenship and immigration canada).

2.

if the letter from step 1 says everything is okay and CIC does not ask you submit more documents, you wait for another 10 months to receive a letter to ask you go to citizenship writing test.

if the letter from step 1 asks you to provide more documents (this happens a lot), from the date you submit your new documents, you have to wait for at least 1 month + 10 months to receive a letter to ask you go to citizenship writing test.

3. after took the citizhenship writing test, you wait for another 2 to 4 months to get a letter to ask you go to take the oath of citizenship.

usually it takes 14 months from the date you submit your fist application package.

my god, I already waited for almost two months for the the first letter, still waiting, now I wonder if i should call them...

:lol: I said it happens a lot is based on my knowledge. someone thinks his application is perfect, but then CIC requires him to provide more documents(such as me :flaming).

fingerprint is one thing CIC might ask you to provide. Another document is about your copy of passport. it is better to make whole copy of your passport instead of the copy of the information page.

要是我搬到Hull去居住，可以在魁省申请吗？如果可以，对居住时间有要求吗?

无论是哪个省得居民，第一步都是递到联邦移民部专门的处理中心。
第二步------考试宣誓，则在当地的移民办公室完成。如果搬家(即使搬到国外)，按道理应该转案到最近的当地办公室-----这对已在第二步处理过程中的申请反而可能会耽误更多时间…
