Ottawa police charged a 46-year-old Ottawa man with one count of sexual assault with a weapon on Thursday in connection with an incident that occurred in August.
Police say that on Aug. 21 at just after 4 p.m., Adulwahed Shehaib sought the services of a sex worker in her late teens. Police say that once Shehaib got to the residence, “he threatened the victim with a knife and sexually assaulted her.”
Shehaib appeared in court on Thursday afternoon. Police say there could be other victims in the case.
Shehaib is described as Middle Eastern, 5-10 (178 cm) and 221 pounds (100 kilograms), with a grey and black beard and moustache.
Police are asking anyone with information about this or any other incident to call them at 613-236-1222, ext. 5944, or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS).
