Emergency crews had to peel back the roof of a car to free its trapped driver after a crash in the east end left the vehicle on its side, fire officials say.
Ottawa Fire Services said it received a report that a car had “flipped over” near Trim and Old Montreal roads. According to the Ottawa Fire Twitter account, crews were on the scene of the single-vehicle crash from about 10:30 p.m.
Firefighters removed the roof of the car to pull out the sole occupant, who was then taken into care by paramedics.
