Position: Program Coordinator
Reports To: Client Services Manager
Employment Status: Full-Time Permanent
Role:
The Program Coordinator assists the Client Services Manager in coordinating and developing program activities under the settlement program including program outreach, and promotion, supervision of the child-minding services (onsite and mobile), and special event planning and implementation.
Responsibilities
•Assist the Program Manager to oversee Client Services
•Expand coverage of OCCSC’s settlement service by exploring and developing community partnerships
•Promote OCCSC’s settlement service through radio, community print media and OCCSC’s monthly newsletter
•Publish OCCSC’s monthly newsletter
•Supervise the child-minding service (onsite and mobile) and childcare workers
•Plan and coordinate special events including International Women’s Day, Open House, Annual General Meeting and the Annual Fund-raising Gala.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in social science, social work, communication, or equivalent, (Master’s degree preferable)
•Experience in program planning and development
•Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
•Excellent communication skills in writing and speaking in English and Mandarin, speaking Cantonese as an asset
•Sound knowledge of social programs and local community service providers
•An proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
•A resourceful, creative and flexible approach to problem-solving
•Able to working flexible hours
•Valid Ontario Driver’s license, and access to a vehicle
