One person has died in a single-vehicle collision on McCordick Road early Saturday morning, say Ottawa police.
The collision occurred near 4410 McCordick Rd. at about 1:47 a.m. when the car burst into flames trapping the driver, the sole occupant, inside.
Ottawa Fire Services extinguished the flames by 2 a.m. and began extrication of the driver, who was deceased.
The driver has not yet been identified.
McCordick Road is expected to remain closed between Dobson Lane and Brophy Drive into the morning as police continue their investigation.
