A 24-year-old Gatineau woman has been charged with assault after another woman’s head was smashed against the steering wheel of a car in a road rage incident last month.
Police, who released a photo of a possible suspect earlier this week, said a driver accidentally cut off a woman who was driving behind her with a man and at least one child in the vehicle on Sept. 14.
The woman followed the other driver to a bank at 99 Hospital Blvd., where she jumped out of the car, grabbed the victim by the hair and repeatedly smashed her face into the steering wheel.
The woman was charged with assault and released on a promise to appear in court Jan. 21.
