The Ottawa Police Service Headquarters joined the fight against breast cancer and got their nails painted pink in support of the #pinkmaniCURES campaign at the Ottawa Police’s Elgin Street station, joined by cancer survivor Chantal Soucy.

Meanwhile the City of Ottawa Emergency and Protective Services Department hosted an event to raise funds for this years’ United Way campaign – the EPS Chiefs were taken into custody and incarcerated until they could reach out via mobile phones to raise their bail.

The imprisoned included: Ottawa Fire Service chief John DeHooge; Ottawa Paramedic Service deputy chief Jennifer Bionda; By-Law & Regulatory Services chief Linda Anderson; and Security & Emergency Management chief Pierre Poirier. Emergency and Protective Services general manager Susan Jones served as the acting judge
