Ottawa police have made an arrest after witnesses reported gunfire in the south end of Barrhaven on Wednesday.
Witnesses reported that shots were fired outside of a home on Willow Creek Circle, located near the intersection of Woodroffe Avenue and Prince of Wales Drive, around noon Wednesday, police said. No injuries have been reported.
An investigation by the police special Direct Action Response Team (D.A.R.T.) led to the arrest of one man around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
Shamsodin Feizi, 24, of Ottawa faces gun-related charges, including carless use of a firearm, possession of a firearm obtained by crime and possession of a restricted firearm without a licence.
Feizi was expected to appear in an Ottawa court Thursday.
