A 30-year-old Lanark County man has died as a result of injuries he sustained in what police are calling a “suspicious” house fire east of Perth Wednesday night.
Police says Don Wallace, of Montague Township, was taken by air ambulance to hospital suffering from serious burns from the blaze.
Lanark County OPP and fire services were dispatched to a house at 145 Morris Rd., in Drummond North Elmsley Township late Wednesday after neighbors reported hearing a loud noise and saw the house engulfed in flames.
The house was severely damaged.
The OPP forensic indentification unit and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office continues to examine the house to determine the cause of the fire.
