Mayor Jim Watson headed a list of VIPs including councillors Mark Taylor and Jan Harder, along with Minto Group CEO Michael Waters for Saturday’s official opening of the state-of-the-art Minto Recreation Complex — Barrhaven on Cambrian Road.
The official coincided with the 160,000-square-foot Minto Recreation Complex – Barrhaven being designated a True Sport facility and with RBC Sports Day in Canada.
As part of the fstivities residents met with staff, toured the unit, tried out some gear and had some public skating.
