does the carbon monoxide detector sold on amazon meet the legal requirements in Canada

Hi cfcers, received the condo Corp notification that i have to install carbon monoxide detector on each floor. It is the new building code law. Do the carbon monoxide detector sold on amazon or eBay meet Canadian legal requirements? Those two sites have better prices than the hardware stores.
