Ottawa police were on the scene of a shooting incident Thursday night on Ritchie Street in the city’s Britannia Bay area.
An officer reached at the police west division would not comment on whether anyone was injured or in custody but confirmed that officers were remained on the scene to investigate.
There were reports earlier in the evening of a stabbing on the street and that the guns and gangs unit had been called in to investigate.
