Quebec police say they have arrested two men for dozens of break-ins in the cottage region north of Ottawa and Gatineau.
The men, ages 23 and 38, are charged with 75 breaks-ins in the Collines-de-l’Outaouais and Pontiac regions, but an MRC des Collines police spokesman said there may have been other thefts that have yet to be reported. Police did not release the names of the men.
The break-ins took place between September and November, with the thieves taking metal objects, batteries for vehicles and solar generators and other items.
The MRC force, which worked with Quebec provincial police on the investigation, asked residents who believe their cottages or homes may have been broken into to call 819-459-9911 or 1-888-459-9911.
