Ottawa Fire Services made quick work of a fire in an Orléans home Saturday.
Firefighters were called to the scene at about 12 a.m. when neighbours reported heavy smoke from a small, two-storey home on Apollo Way. The fire was identified as coming from the basement and declared under control 30 minutes later.
There were no occupants in the building at the time of the blaze, but Salvation Army victim services attendants arrived to assist affected residents.
There was no immediate estimate of the damages.
