Ottawa police are looking for witnesses after a developmentally delayed teenager was lured to Rivierain Park, knocked unconcious and sexually assaulted. He woke up naked in sub-zero temperatures.
It’s believed the teen, wearing a yellow and orange reflective vest, was lured along Marguerite Avenue to Washington Avenue before entering the park, which is just south of the intersection of Vanier Parkway and Montreal Road, sometime between 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.
Police say he was struck and fell unconscious. Waking up naked, the teen walked away from the park and managed to find his clothes and was helped by a couple of passersby.
The attack was reported to police on Wednesday.
Police did not have any description of a possible suspect on Thursday but were canvassing the area.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Ottawa police sexul assault and child abuse unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5944.
