Ottawa Police close Vanier streets to deal with barricaded man

Ottawa Police Services are responding to a call of a man who has barricaded himself in a Vanier home.

Police have closed Montfort and Alfred Streets north of Montreal Road while they deal with the situation.

According to police, the call came in around 6:11 a.m.

They wouldn’t confirm whether the man had a weapon or if he had taken any hostages.

Road closures: Alfred St. closed in both directions from St. Denis Rd – Montfort St., from Cantin St – Granville St and St Denis- Granville.
