Ottawa - Councillor Stephen Blais, Chair of the Transit Commission, invites City of Ottawa Councillors and media to attend a Transit Services information session. Councillors and media will learn about the complex business of operating a 24/7 transit service in the nation’s capital. There will also be an opportunity to get in the operator’s seat and test-drive a bus.
Date: Monday, February 2
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
(Pick-up at 8:30 a.m.; tour from 9 a.m. to noon; bus test-drive starting at noon)
Location: Councillors and media will be picked up at 8:30 a.m. by an OC Transpo charter bus at Ottawa City Hall, Lisgar Street entrance. The session will begin at 9 a.m. at 1500 St Laurent Boulevard, and will include tours at several locations. A shuttle bus will return participants to City Hall at the conclusion of the tour at noon and will continue running until all attendees have been picked up.
