A 33-year-old Ottawa man was to appear in court Wednesday after he was arrested Tuesday following a bank holdup on Rideau Street downtown.
Police say that at about 2:30 p.m., a man entered a bank in the “0-100 block of Rideau Street”, presented a note demanding money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was quickly tracked down by officers responding to the call, police say, and he was arrested without incident.
Abdifatah Aden was to appear in court Wednesday on single counts of robbery and breach of probation.
