Ottawa – Mayor Jim Watson, Councillor Keith Egli, Chair of the Transportation Committee, and Bill Houldsworth of Tim Hortons, will celebrate the achievements of the 2014 Tim Hortons Cleaning the Capital participants and sponsors at a recognition ceremony.
Campaign results will be announced, as well as the winners of the spring and fall Ward Awards. Ward Awards highlight communities with the highest participation per capita and are presented to their respective Councillors.
Date: Friday, February 6
Time: 1 to 3 p.m.
Location: Centrepointe Studio Theatre

Since 1994, Tim Hortons Cleaning the Capital participants have collected over 1.7 million kilograms of waste from Ottawa’s parks, roadways, bus stops, woodlots, ravines, shorelines and pathways.
