Ottawa firefighters were battling a two-alarm house fire in South Keys Saturday night in which a victim was found without vital signs.
The fire at 3340 Kodiak St., near Bank Street and Hunt Club Road, was called in by a neighbour at 6:51 p.m. Firefighters were able to get inside the house, but were soon forced out by the flames. They upgraded the call to a second alarm 20 minutes later because of “extreme and heavy fire conditions.”
