On Sunday, Ottawa police Chief Charles Bordeleau and Mayor Jim Watson took part in the Jewish Federation of Ottawa’s ninth annual Mitzvah Day, held at the Soloway Jewish Community Centre.

Mitzvah Day brings the Jewish community together to help those in need by performing good deeds.

The mayor and police chief helped cut hair, which will be donated to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. Pantene, in partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society, will use the donated hair to make wigs for women with cancer.
