OPP with Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry detachment are asking the public’s help in finding three people who robbed a Pet Valu store in Winchester.
Police say three suspects — they can’t say whether were men or women — entered the store about 6 p.m. Monday. They were described as armed, although the OPP couldn’t say with what sort of weapon.
During the robbery someone was assaulted — police were unable to say whether it was a clerk or a customer — and the thieves fled on foot, in an unknown direction.
The Ontario Provincial Police subsequently turned to Twitter to ask that anyone with information about the robbery contact the detachment. No phone number was provided, but the detachment can be reached 613-774-2603.
