A 62-year-old South Dundas man has died of injuries sustained in a head-on collision on County Road 7 Tuesday morning.
Provincial police say the accident occurred at about 9 a.m. when a northbound BMW sports utility vehicle driven by Peter Remillard collided head-on with a Dodge SUV driven by a 40-year-old North Dundas woman on County Road 7.
Both drivers, who were travelling alone, were taken to hospital, where Remillard was pronounced dead. The second driver suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
OPP traffic collision investigators are assisting Stormont Dundas and Glengarry with their investigation.
A section of County Road 7, between St-Mary’s Road and County Road 8 remains closed to traffic with detours indicated.
