An investigation is continuing by MRC des Collines police after a 28-year-old Val-des-Monts woman suspected of being on drugs was found unconscious at the wheel of her car with two young children inside the car on Tuesday evening.
Police say the woman’s car stopped on the side of Route du Carrefour at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The two kids, aged nine and two, flagged down another car, and they contacted authorities.
The woman was taken to hospital where she regained consciousness.
Police said a blood sample was taken from the woman for testing and she could face charges, including impaired driving and possession of controlled substances.
The children weren’t hurt are staying with family members while a report was made to child protective services.
