Officers from the Sûreté du Québec, assisted by municipal officers, arrested four people and seized more than 250 marijuana plants and 1.5 kilos of harvested marijuana in three raids involving a marijuana cultivation operation in the Thurso area, east of Gatineau.
Police said the raids were at two residences in Thurso, as well as a rural property on Lac-des-Quatre-Chemins Road, at nearby Saint-André-Avellin. Police also seized an unspecified amount of cash and marijuana production gear.
Police arrested two men aged 47, a third man aged 49, as well as a 45-year-old woman. All four were released on promise to appear June 17 in Gatineau court.
Police said the accused could face charges of producing drugs, possession for the purposes of trafficking and trafficking.
