Ottawa police say Riverside Drive, both north and southbound, is closed between Highway 417 and Industrial Avenue because of a broken water main.
In a release, police say it is “unknown” how long the road closure will be in effect for.
Police say city crews are currently working to resolve the issue. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and find an alternate route.
As well, the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is advising parents and students that Riverview Alternative School will be closed today because of the busted water main. The daycare facility on-site will also be closed.
