Seven people were arrested and a large quantity of drugs and cash were seized in a series of raids across the Outaouais Wednesday.
The raids began at 7 Whipple Rd. in Val-des-Monts, where Gatineau and MRC-des-Collines police seized 4.5 kilos of marijuana, 3,507 methamphetamine tablets, 103 grams of hash, 14.6 grams of cocaine, 138 ecstasy tablets, 50 ml of GHB and $35,840 in cash.
Police also seized a shotgun, weight scales, 15 cellphones and impounded six vehicles in the raid.
Following the Val-des-Monts raids, police picked up six men and a woman between the ages of 20 and 36 in raids in a De La Gappe Boulevard parking lot, at 1248 de La Vérendrye Blvd. E., and 695 Davidson St. E.
Police said Wednesday’s raids flowed from information gleaned after a series of drug raids last month.
The suspects are expected to appear in court Thursday.
