Ottawa – Ottawa Transit Commission Chair Stephen Blais and OC Transpo General Manager John Manconi will join Algonquin College President Cheryl Jensen, Algonquin College Students’ Association President Christina Miller and Vice-President Mackenzie Campbell on Friday to sign the first U-Pass agreement between the City of Ottawa and Algonquin students.
City Council and Algonquin students voted in 2014 to create a smart-card U-Pass for all eligible Algonquin students that will be in effect starting in September 2015. The signing will formalize this agreement, which has a new feature that is different from other U-Passes and is tailored to the needs of Algonquin students.
