Ottawa police have closed Wellington Street in both directions from Booth Street to the Portage Bridge to investigate a rollover collision.
The Ottawa Paramedic Service says it received a call for a car crash at Booth and Wellington streets at about 6:15 p.m. today.
On arrival, paramedics found a 23-year-old woman outside the vehicle, which had landed on its roof. Paramedics said the circumstances surrounding the crash “are not clear.”
They treated the woman for head, facial, and pelvic injuries. Paramedics said they also assessed the driver of the vehicle, a 30-year-old man, but that he did not need to go to the hospital.
The woman was in serious but stable condition upon arriving at the hospital. Paramedics said Ottawa police are investigating the crash.
