A 55-year-old constructor worker was taken to hospital in stable condition Tuesday morning after a 400-pound sign fell on him at Lansdowne Park.
The sign was being moved by a crane when it fell, possibly as a result of strong wind.
The man’s co-workers came to his rescue, lifted the sign and helped immobilize him before the paramedics arrived around 10:40 a.m.
The man was treated for back injuries and was taken to hospital in stable condition.
